The Matted Flax-lily flowers from October to April. Flowers are buzz-pollinated by native bees (winter dormant Blue-banded Bee, Amegilla cingulata) and fruits are readily formed but recruitment is believed to be extremely low due to habitat disturbance and weed competition.
