The New Holland Honeyeater (Phylldonyris novaehollandiae) is a species found throughout the Inner West, and sits upon a Grevillea branch. it was among one of the first birds to be scientifically described in Australia. It's a very active bird and rarely sits long enough to give an extended view. When danger approaches, a group of honey eaters will form together and give a warning call. This project is a partnership between Inner West Council and Dulwich High School of Visual Art and Design. Students worked with the artist Thomas Jackson to research and generate artwork ideas and learned about public art project management.
