Completed over a couple of months in stages, the beginning of the artwork prints a clear message: by reducing, reusing and recycling, you can decrease the amount of trash and waste that ends up in the ecosystem and fosters a healthy environment full of rich animal and plant life. As the mural progresses, what used to be a pristine environment is now littered with landfill, bulldozers and various human waste. The artists' intention was to highlight the importance of caring for the environment, and the Thornleigh Community Recycling Centre aids in doing so.
