The immensity

The immensity - It's a metaphor where the cliffs are the buildings, the idea of traveling passing between the towers, seeing what is hidden behind. Notions related to freedom, discovery, nature. The invisible characters (a child and an adult) invite the spectators to project themselves, to imagine the narration through this work. Without forgetting that the support of this narration is a landscape from the Marseille coastal environment and makes us aware of the protection of the seas and our environment.

On December 2, 2022, a new lighthouse was inaugurated, illuminating the edges of the A7 motorway with colors. This monumental work placed on building A of the Jean Jaurès group was produced by the artist Julien Primard under the artistic direction of Tito, founder of the Backside Gallery in Marseille and child of this Aygalades district.
Planète Émergences has carried and developed since the beginning of 2022 this transgenerational artistic and cultural project around the memory of the district, taking as a starting point the storytelling of the stories and the memories of the inhabitants of Jean Jaurès. The workshops were carried out as part of the program “ Reopen the World of the DRAC PACA. Launched in 2020, the cultural summer is a national operation of the Ministry of Culture aimed at supporting artistic and cultural proposals taking place in July and August as a result of the end of confinement. This operation is mainly carried out by the decentralized services of the Ministry of Culture, which support projects initiated on their territory by associations, public establishments and local authorities.
