Polar Bear

+2

Description

Snyders mural shows a large polar bear diving into a sea full of plastic waste. This species of bear typically stays close to the coast. Thanks to the webbed feet on their front paws, these animals can move quickly in the water to hunt seals. Their natural habitat is severely threatened by plastic waste and climate change. This is Snyder's second time at Secret City. He specializes in spraying endangered species. In his depictions, he uses a recurring structure with expressive lighting effects. In this mural he uses this effect to highlight the waste in the water.
