No è No

"NO is a voice, it is a cry, it is life asking respect. NO is a border. It is a wall that cannot be torn down”. The work of Yele at the “Giulio Verne” Institute in Acilia is an explicit statement that, without mincing words, says NO to violence and gender discrimination. A NO that activates reflection, dialogue, comparison in boys and girls, but also and above all pushes adults to become aware of the cultural legacy that is being left to the new generations. Painting a wall and doing it in a school with these themes is a way to observe and understand how to fill the social gaps that contribute to the spread of discriminatory attitudes and violent actions. NO IS NO is now permanently written on a wall that is seen and experienced by those who represent our future and deserve care, listening and attention, the only remedies to activate real change.

it's a project aimed at raising awareness on violence against women, with two murals made by YeleTres and Miss K in two schools in the periferic neighborhood of Rome, Acilia. Murals created at the Verne and Magellano school institutes in Acilia.

The project conceived and curated by Mirko Pierri with his association a.DNA project, is part of the #nonsolo25X operation, a social, artistic and cultural project, made possible thanks to the collaboration between the Department and the Equal Opportunities Commission of the Municipio X of Rome.
