"Freie Platzwahl" (Free Choice of Seats) is a vibrant mural that references the relic gardens of Bentlage Monastery.
As the first mural for the EmsSideGallery by graffiti artist Florian Köster, it connects the natural beauty of the
forest with the cultural history of the region. The use of floral motifs reminiscent of the decorations on the relics
not only creates a visual connection to the nearby monastery, but also addresses the harmonious integration of street
art into the natural forest environment. The combination is intended to create a positive sense of disorientation,
as street art is typically found in urban spaces. Ultimately, this contradiction is to be resolved through a harmonious overall image,
so that the mural is not only an eye-catcher, but also an invitation to experience street art as accessible and enriching.
