Lyon-Saint-Clair station

Located in Caluire, between railway tracks and a motorway entrance, this little house was previously a train station, the "Lyon-Saint-Clair" station ! Historical aside, initially, in 1856, the railway line linking Lyon and Geneva had its terminus in Caluire, in this station. Later, in 1859, the terminus moved to the Brotteaux station, located in the centre of Lyon. The Lyon Saint Clair station experienced its decline in the 80s with the arrival of the TGV and was subsequently permanently closed. It was in 2014, during a campaign organised by the SNCF, that the decision was made to rehabilitate the place. And as usual, it was Cité Création that took on the task, but this time with the participation of students from the Emile Cohl school. Also recreated on the lower part of the house are scenes from the daily life of travelers taking the train.
