EMBRACE

Football has always been a male domain. Women have been sidelined from many areas of society. And in this sport too, we women have had to fight again and again to have our place on the pitch.

An embrace can be seen in the mural. Behind it lie many feelings: hope, joy, struggle, strength, love, victory…

Above all, I wanted to celebrate the solidarity of all women. WE CAN TOO!

Along this journey, how many girls have kicked a ball, how many women have enjoyed this sport, how many have fought…

This mural is a recognition of collective effort. A tribute to all those journeys.

I believe it is important to look back, because there is no moving forward without those who came before. In 1971, despite it being banned, girls played their first match on the Ipurua pitch.

Without their courage, and without those small steps taken by those who followed, we would not be here today enjoying women's football.

And so, the composition of the mural is completed by those pioneering women.

Because preserving memory is essential, so that it may become a treasure for those who come after.

With this mural I want to pass on the path to victory.

May this artwork be one more force that drives women forward, along the road toward true equality.

BESARKADA

Gizonen esparrua izan da beti futbola.

Emakumea alboratua izan da gizarteko eremu askotatik. Eta kirol honetan ere, emakumeok borroka egin behar izan dugu behin eta berriz, zelaian gure lekua izan dezagun.

Besarkada bat ikus daiteke muralean. Horren atzean hainbat sentimendu daude; Ilusioa, poza, borroka, indarra, maitasuna, garaipena…

Batez ere emakume guztien elkarlana nahi izan dut goraipatu. GUK ERE AHAL DUGU!

Ibilbide honetan zehar, zenbat neskek eman diote ostikoa baloiari, zenbat emakumek gozatu dute kirolaz, zenbatek borrokatu dute…

Mural hau, talde lan baten errekonozimendua da. Oroigarria, ibilibide guzti horri.

Atzera begiratzea garrantzitsua deritzot,aurrekorik gabe ez dagoelako aurrera egiterik. 1971 .urtean, debekatua egon arren, nesken lehenengo partida jokatu zuten Ipuruako zelaian.

Haien ausardiarik gabe, eta ondorengoen pauso txiki horiek gabe, ez ginateke egongo gaur egun nesken futbolaz gozatzen.

Beraz, muralaren konposizioa, emakume aintzindari horiek borobiltzen dute.

Memoria egitea derrigorrezkoa delako, ondorengoentzat altxorra izan dadin.

Garaipenerako bidea trasmititu nahi dut mural honekin.

Artelan hau izan dadila benetako berdintasunera bidean baloia aurrerantz botatzeko indar bat gehiago emango diona emakumeari.
