Description

星の守 meaning "The guardian of stars". Our star guardian gently shows a star during the day. When the sun sets, she surprises us with a new, watchful expression, revealing an infinite forest of stars that shapes her hair. The gentleness with which she cares for her environment is reflected in her own well-being.

We pay homage to Japanese culture through the shape of the star that appears in shippōtsunagi or marutsunagi, two traditional Japanese patterns, symbolizing infinite connection and balance. Besides, the shape of her hair is a wink to Katsushika Hokusai’s ukiyo-e Kanagawa oki nami ura, meaning “Under a wave at sea in Kanagawa”.

While in Japan, we often thought of our beloved Amaia Arrazola and her passion for this country. It comforts us to know that she is now part of this forest of stars. Amaia is here.
