The Crystel Ship 2020
Covid cancelled the 5the edition of the Crystal Ship but the organisations sailed some new waters and invited a couple of big names to work outside of the city centre.
This was D*Face's first intervention after the lock down
DFace is a living legend in the street art scene. Top five without a doubt. Every year The Crystal Ship tried to trap him, this year he took the plunge. He even came to Ostend from London by motorcycle. Punk, skate, Roy Lichtenstein, it all comes back in his work. Also in the gigantic kissing mermaid that he painted in Ostend. The iconic colors, the incredible creativity and the craftsmanship prove what a hit DFace is.

DFace is een levende legende in de street art-scene. Top vijf zonder twijfel. Elk jaar opnieuw probeerde The Crystal Ship hem te strikken, dit jaar hapte hij toe. Hij kwam zelfs met de motor vanuit Londen naar Oostende. Punk, skate, Roy Lichtenstein, het komt allemaal terug in zijn werk. Ook in de gigantische kussende zeemeermin die hij in Oostende schilderde. De iconische kleuren, de ongelofelijke creativiteit en het vakmanschap bewijzen wat voor topper DFace is.
