Originally from Mexico but now settled in Dublin KINMX’s work is immediately recognisable: a seamless blending of stencil and freehand painting, with a Mexican colour pallet clearly coming through. Part of the all female Minaw Collective of Irish-based street artists Kathrina is very much part of a new breed of confident female street artists who are doing great things across the island.
Like many street artists, KINMXs work is more about the aesthetic than any deep meaning. It’s a celebration of the native wildlife and indigenous artwork of her birthplace, and a celebration of femininity.
