Sjors en Sjimmie

On the side wall of the iconic comic shop ‘Sjors’ in Dordrecht, there is a mural depicting the well-known characters from the comic series ‘Sjors and Sjimmie’, arranged from top to bottom: the Colonel, Sally, Sjors and Sjimmie. The artwork was designed by Robert van der Kroft, who took over and modernised the comic series in 1975. The mural was originally painted at the end of the last century. In August 2024, it was fully restored and refurbished.

Op de zijwand van de iconische stripwinkel Sjors in Dordrecht, bevindt zich een schildering van de bekende personages uit de stripserie ‘Sjors en Sjimmie’ van boven naar beneden: de kolonel, Sally, Sjors en Sjimmie. Het kunstwerk is ontworpen door Robert van der Kroft, die in 1975 de stripserie overnam en moderniseerde. Eind vorige eeuw werd de schildering oorspronkelijk aangebracht. In augustus 2024 werd deze volledig gerestaureerd en opgefrist.
