The impressive mural that occupies the facade of a nine-storey building on Reyes de Navarra street has been visible for days in the Zaramaga neighborhood of Vitoria. But it will be late when this "Memory Board" is inaugurated, which wants to keep alive the tragic events of March 3, 1976 that resulted in five dead strikers and more than 150 wounded by the police.

The work is part of the Vitoria-Gasteiz muralistic itinerary and more than 30 people have collaborated in its realization. The Victims Association of March 3 considers that the immense painting contributes to advancing in the "transmission, socialization and visibility" of those events, and that at the same time it is "a spectacular contribution to keep alive the memory and spread the dignity of a struggle led by the working class of Vitoria in 1976 ”. Furthermore, "it is an injection of force to continue working on the demand for truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition," they point out from the association.
