The artist was asked to paint this mural by a family that has multi-generational roots in Jastarnia. Their ancestors were fishermen and bakers. Before we chose the design, they showed me lots of pictures of their family from a few generations back. Old boats, the time when ports on the Hel Peninsula were being built and the equipment used at that time. The inhabitants of this region are called Kashubians, they are very religious and attached to tradition. With this painting they wanted to pay homage to their ancestors.
