Caco woont in Pinamar, een gemeente in de Argentijnse provincie Buenos Aires waar ook het dorpje Ostende bij hoort! Het spreekt voor zich dat het ‘echte’ Oostende een goede band met hem heeft. The Crystal Ship ging op zoek naar lokaal kunsttalent en kwam bij Caco terecht. Het expressieve karakter van zijn portretten leende zich perfect voor een verkenning van het werk van James Ensor. Zozeer zelfs dat de Argentijnse kunstenaar ervoor koos om de grote meester af te beelden naast enkele kenmerken van zijn oeuvre.

Caco lives in Pinamar, a municipality in the Argentinean province of Buenos Aires that includes the hamlet of Ostende! Needless to say, the ‘real’ Ostend has a good relationship with it. The Crystal Ship went in search of local art talent there and arrived at Caco. The expressive nature of his portraits lent itself perfectly to an exploration of James Ensor’s work. So much so that the Argentine artist chose to portray the great master alongside some of the hallmarks of his oeuvre.
