The mural was created by muralist Slim Safont and is titled "Les Trotes." It depicts a landscape and several figures from the mid-20th century.

The mural pays tribute to two sisters known by this nickname who once lived at the former No. 8 Carrer de la Font. The house was home to all the Espelt Armengol siblings—Pere, Josep, Jaume, Ramona, Dolors, Pepeta, and Margarida—together with their uncle, Josep Espelt Clara. Originally from nearby villages, they settled in Borredà to work as farmers.

The family lived a simple life and earned their living through subsistence work, which made them well known within the local community. Their way of life and their presence inspired the creation of the mural, which seeks to celebrate a chapter of the town's history that has now disappeared.

L’obra ha estat realitzada pel muralista Slim Safont i porta per nom “Les Trotes”. Ha representat un paisatge i diverses figures de mitjan segle XX. El mural ha fet referència a dues germanes conegudes amb aquest nom que havien viscut a l’antic número 8 del carrer de la Font. En aquella casa hi havien residit tots els germans Espelt Armengol —Pere, Josep, Jaume, Ramona, Dolors, Pepeta i Margarida— juntament amb un oncle, Josep Espelt Clara. Procedien de pobles propers i s’havien establert a Borredà per treballar en tasques de pagès.

La família havia viscut de manera senzilla i s’havia dedicat a feines de subsistència que els havien fet visibles i coneguts dins la comunitat. La seva manera de viure i la seva presència han servit d’inspiració per a la creació del mural, que ha volgut posar en valor una etapa de la història local ja desapareguda.
