If Wishes were Horses, Refugees would Ride

“If wishes were horses, beggars would ride” is an English proverb used to suggest that it’s useless to wish and that better results will be achieved through action. In this work, the word “beggars” is replaced for “refugees”, possibly because of the current refugee problems. The rhyme also refers to the horse stables that were once situated here.
