He grew up with that quintessential black and white graphics, but really made a mark when he let vibrant colors seep through his work. He lets the paint drip, creating imposing portraits of women, embracing both photorealism and the abstract.

Contrary to his habits, David Walker did not paint a realistic portrait in Ostend. He chose a silhouette of a man with the message "A blank canvas is a white flag." A blank canvas is giving up, only when you start painting do you go against the established values. Fun fact: Walker's first job was designing t-shirts for none other than The Prodigy.
