Street art = connection + good vibes!
The design of this mural, made with input from local residents, pays tribute to people who played an important role during resistance and liberation. That’s why you’ll spot the hummingbird: a small, cheerful symbol of freedom and joy. The sunflower represents hope, love, and admiration. And the poppy? It reminds us of peace and remembrance, a powerful sign of renewal and a fresh look toward the future.

Straatkunst = verbinding + goede vibes!
Het ontwerp van deze mural, gemaakt met input van de bewoners van de wijk Kruiskamp, verwijst naar mensen die een belangrijke rol speelden tijdens het verzet en de bevrijding. Daarom zie je hier ook de colibrie: een klein, vrolijk symbool van vrijheid en levensvreugde. De zonnebloem staat voor hoop, liefde en bewondering. En de klaproos? Die herinnert ons aan vrede en herdenking, een krachtig teken van vernieuwing en een nieuwe blik op de toekomst.
