Description

Tindo, takes its palette and its story from the rising sun. This sun; this Tindo, is the first light of a new dawn. A new day, where Kaurna are still here; thriving, practicing culture, and applying their language across the landscape.

Tindo speaks to the indelible strength of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and Culture. Tindo is informed by connection. Connection to Culture, Community, and one another. Shane's mark making is embedded by his experience of using body paint in traditional dance. Thomas depicted Carly Dodd's hands weaving in hyper realism, reflecting growth, connection and the continuing of cultural practices. Elizabeth's bold circular elements represent the rising sun, community, growth, and connection for Kaurna, for other First Nations people living on unceded Kaurna Country.

But Tindo is also an invitation for the wider community to listen, engage and learn.
