Description

This mural represents the meeting grounds of all tribes past and present that travelled to Port Augusta to connect with one another.

Many years ago, tribes would meet in Port Augusta for marriage. They would dance, sing songs, and perform ceremonies to celebrate their culture together.

They would teach younger generations to keep their culture strong.

The gulda (sleepy Lizard) represents the Barngarla people and the dolphin represents the Spencer Gulf people.
