At Meeting of Styles Belgium 2025, French artist ESER made a lasting impression with a collaborative mural that blended dynamic wildstyle lettering and figurative realism. Born and raised in the French Alps, Eser brings a unique blend of architectural precision and graffiti instinct to the wall, qualities shaped by his past career as an architect and CEO of an architectural firm, and now fully channeled into his life as a full-time artist.
His section of the wall, painted alongside Swiss artist LUD Artwork, features a striking figure in an old diving suit advancing through a dreamlike urban backdrop. The character is rendered in hyperrealistic detail, set against a painted skyline dotted with cranes, evoking post-industrial themes that resonate with Eser’s urban roots and architectural background and referring to the port of Antwerp. The intensity of the scene contrasts with the adjacent bursts of wildstyle lettering, where Eser's signature style comes alive through fluid forms, sharp edges, and energetic movements. His graffiti is inspired by the spontaneity of tags and signatures—powerful, instinctive lines that he constantly refines in pursuit of stronger flow.
“This year for MOS Antwerp, with my Swiss friend LUD ARTWORK, we decided to do two collaborations rather than one wall each,” says Eser. “We wanted to support the notion of meeting in our graphic productions. The MOS are a wonderful opportunity to connect with artists and allow us to develop our respective practices. These events provide us with technical knowledge, but also friendships, and create a global community without borders around graffiti and street art.”
Though Eser started painting illegally in 1998, he’s dedicated the past decade to legal murals. His deep connection to Antwerp goes back to his university days, when he studied the city in detail for his architecture degree. “That’s why I was so happy to come and paint in this city! At home we have very few brick walls,” he adds.
Over 70 visionary artists from across the globe are set to transform more than 4000 square meters of urban arena at the "ZOMERFABRIEK" in street art district Berchem, during an electrifying weekend of live painting, culture, and community at Meeting of Styles Belgium. Guided by this year’s theme, "The Chosen Cause," the artists channel personal stories and convictions into bold visual expressions.
