"Last year I had the pleasure to be part of the first Wonderful Women Wall project, led by my partner in crime Ina Treihse.

While we took a bus through the desert from Dubai to Oman, we discussed images of women, especially in public spaces. We agreed that often false, one-dimensional images of women are presented in cities. Ina wanted to change this. So the idea was born to create a wall with portraits of women from all walks of life who have made a positive contribution to society. "But I can't paint," said Ina. So she decided to use stencils - not only because a clever approach overcomes an alleged "not being able to paint", but also because it is an aesthetic that many can relate to.

With a large team of helpers and lots of chocolate, 48 women were drawn, cut and put on a wall with the help of 144 stencils in the format 1,20m x 1,20m in Halle (Saale), Germany.
