Frangipani Tea Time

Description

This mural depicts three curious, common goldfish (which reside in the Hazelhurst Garden watercourse) swimming amongst a pink frangipani plant which is propagating in a pumpkin-themed teapot. This work is one of several inspired by the artist's grandma's teapot collection, as well as her grandparent's home which is a site of childhood memory and nostalgia. The pumpkin-shaped teapot also symbolises the vegetation and green community Ben and Hazel Broadhurst fostered when they lived on the site.
