"Why Aren't We Listening?"

I think it's true to say that I have loved every single piece of work Amanda Newman has done in Melbourne, but I think this new one might just be my favourite.

So beautiful, and so powerful.

Amanda says of the mural,

"The Earth has been warning us for a long time. Our children are listening but by the time they are old enough to do something about it, it may be too late.

Why do we ignore our planet and the children who will inherit it?

The mural can be found on the Merri Creek Trail on the south side of the creek, underneath the railway bridge that passes through the Westgarth Basketball Courts (which are on the north side of the creek).
