The El Boquetillo neighborhood of the Malaga municipality of Fuengirola has a large artistic mural, created on two facades of a four-storey building. In total, this creation, by the Jaén artist José Fernández Ríos, occupies an area of 200 square meters.
It is about the creation of 'Mar de regatas', a hyperrealistic painting that occupies the panels of the building of a community of Menorca street owners, in which, as its name suggests, a sailing race is simulated.
The mayor of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, accompanied by the mayor of Urbanism, Ana Mata, has been in charge of presenting this spectacular mural this Monday.
It is one of the first actions framed in the 'Put color, put in value' project, a new initiative approved last August that is developed according to the ordinance regulating public ornament and urban art. The goal is to decorate different streets or buildings to turn them into points of interest and thus beautify Fuengirola.
