The two artists, Antonio Catalani aka Holaf and Carlo Alberto Giardina, talk about our land by placing the Marsican brown bear, a protected species symbol of the Abruzzo park, at the center of their work, almost as a gesture of thoughtfulness and care. The bear remains in balance between heaven and earth, supported by a totem composed of material and symbolic elements which accentuate the sense of fragility and precariousness. The cosmos, ever present, seems to contain within itself and also guide the destiny of the bear, of its life and its delicate ecosystem. A third artist, Guari Art, also accompanied the first two in the creation of the work, leaving a trace on the wall in front: a little bear looking for and observing his mother worriedly, hoping that she will be able to stay alive in her precarious balance. In 2021 the same artists, Fabio Guarino and Antonio Catalani, created a new mural (24) which portrays our astronomer, Filippo Angelitti, in a contemporary key. Born in Aielli in 1856, Filippo Angelitti died in Palermo where, for more than thirty-three years, he held the position of director of the astronomical observatory.( cit. Borgouniverso.com)
