Created for 'Krusi Orsa' ( translated as Decorating Orsa') festival, part of a project funded by Orsa Besparingsskog in collaboration with Företagarna Orsa and Orsa municipality, with the goal of making Orsa city center a more exciting, interesting and engaging meeting place that reflects Orsa’s brand and stimulates the imagination.

The region of Dalarna is one of the most typical in Sweden with it’s blue mountains, vast lakes and rich wildlife accompanied buy a diverse culture ranging from traditional handicraft to contemporary music. This is the pitch that the invited artists were given for their designs. The improvisational master Curtis Hylton presented a rough sketch of an owl and after soaking in some Orsa inspiration added some pine cones, a moose horn, crayfish, oysters, a fish, and a background honoring the northern lights seen several nights during Krusi Orsa and the deep forests.
