Each street, no matter how crooked or narrow, holds countless stories. As it is impossible to tell them all, Histórias Viandantes decided to pay homage to some.
Hot water baths appeared in Praia Norte at the end of the 19th century. The oldest building ended up being replaced by another, more recent one, which ended its activity shortly after the 25th of April, in 1974. Baths were taken in heated sea water, some with boiled seaweed. Praised for its medicinal properties, many people flocked, on the doctor's advice, to one of these salty baths.
