De Wensboom (the wishing tree)

The mural depicts a giraffe nibbling on the leaves of an acacia tree, with the sun setting over the savannah in the distance. Postal letters bearing the wishes of local residents flutter around another giraffe; they come from the trunk of the first acacia tree, on which a nameplate indicates the title of the mural: "de Wensboom" (the wishing tree).

The mural is on the side wall of a block of flats, at the junction of Drapeniersgaarde and Vrederustlaan.
