The House of Creation NOH and Bravvo vzw asked various neighbourhood associations, which bring together residents of all ages and backgrounds, to express their vision of Neder-Over-Heembeek.
These exchanges took place through various creative workshops led by facilitators. The workshops focused on how residents experience their neighbourhood and their experiences in the neighbourhood.
This vision was developed around four themes: portrait, place, object and slogan. The aim of this art project is to reveal the identity and soul of Neder-Over-Heembeek, but also to bring people together.
The ideas were interpreted by the famous FARM PROD collective. The mural takes the form of a speech bubble and emphasises the participatory aspect. The letters NOH (for Neder-Over-Heembeek) are central to the composition. Around them, we see elements such as trees, a river and even faces that reflect the positive aspects of this very green and welcoming municipality.
