Miramar is a tourist city in Argentina, where in the last 10 years street art has begun to have an enormous presence, changing not only the urban landscape, but also the territory, and therefore society itself. The rise of street art began with the first International Art Biennial in 2013, ending its sixth edition in 2023. The different editions of the biennials have enriched the city with an enormous, varied and valuable heritage.

"Homenaje a Miro" ("Tribute to Miro") is a work that was part of the First International Miramar Biennial in 2013. It was made by the “Rogelio Yrurtia Ceramic School” using the Venecitas and painting technique.

About this first special edition, BIAM sites said; “…The meeting brought together artists with an important national and international career who worked from the motto “Man and his relationship with nature.” On 14 walls measuring 3.50 x 2.50 distributed in what is now the “Esteban Svast” Biennial Park; More than 30 artists worked together with their assistants to create works using mosaic, sgraffito and relief techniques with polychrome direct cement…”
