Last labour of Ural-batyr

This street art depicts Ural-batyr, a famous hero from a Bashkir epos. The last heroic act was the victory over his evil brother, Shulygeon. Shulygeon wanted to destroy the world with the deluge but Ural-batyr stopped his wicked plans. At the cost of his life, Ural-batyr spread the water over withering nature to save it. According to the legend, his body later became the Ural mountains.
