Youri Cansell aka Mantra grew up between the city’s noise and the whispers of the forest in Metz in France. He is a self tought painter, active in the graffiti scene since 2008. His art honors his childhood heroes: butterflies, owls and spiders. His art reflects the voices of nature that we no longer listen to and shows the footprints left in the urban spaces repeated over and over like mantras. Mantra takes care of every detail ensuring the wall has a soul of its own. He paints freehand without using a projector or grid , demonstrating a strong passion and an unique motivation.
