Using a bit of German in the title of his piece, Velasco wanted to reference on the importance of tourism and impact that foreigners have on the local culture and development. He further commented on this by painting a wide angle urban landscape, showing local architecture against the modern, tourist money infused areas. In the middle of this composition he painted a portrait of a friend/assistant, as a symbol of young generation that has a lot of options available for them in a place like this. Using his expressive painterly technique with visible brush strokes and great eye of light/shadow play, the vibrant piece blended nicely with the bright facades and rooftops of nearby houses.
