A youthful figure appears to move almost weightlessly across the tall, narrow façade in Saint-Denis. The boy wears an oversized white jacket, dark shorts, sneakers and a backpack. Most striking is the unusual cardboard headpiece, made from a folded cardboard box. Cables or cords loop around the figure in broad curves, reinforcing the sense of movement. Behind him, a large circular area in warm brown provides a strong contrast to the pale façade.

The mural was created by the Moroccan artist Benji, whose name is officially associated with the Instagram handle @abdel_benjana in the documentation of Street Art Avenue. The signature “BENJI”, clearly visible on the wall, can therefore be reliably attributed to him. Abdel Benjana had already been documented as a street artist whose work includes a focus on African and Maghrebi culture.

The mural was created in 2026 for the tenth anniversary of Street Art Avenue, a multi-kilometre urban art route running along the Canal Saint-Denis. It was unveiled on 13 June 2026 as part of a collaboration involving the City of Saint-Denis, the cultural venue Le 6b and the Association Alouane Bladi.
