Steeven Salvat is a French artist who lives and works in Paris. Born in 1990 in Menton, in the south of France, he has been passionate about drawing and painting since his early childhood; nature and living beings permeate his universe. Inspired notably by Albrecht Dürer, Gustave Doré, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Molitz, Moebius, and Walton Ford, he pays particular attention to technique and details. His works are composed of several layers of hatching, allowing him to achieve a rendering close to engraving but always with a touch of modernity. A meticulous and delicate work that praises the passage of time, where each stroke acts as a countdown. His subjects highlight duality, notably between the living and the inanimate, in works that evoke naturalistic engravings of the 18th century.
