"Engyon"

reinterprets the historic coat of arms of the Municipality of Gangi, transforming its symbols into a vibrant, generational visual narrative.

At the center of the work stands an enigmatic female figure, suspended between calm and determination. The bull's head—a heraldic element, but here treated as a geometric sculpture—becomes an ambiguous presence: it could be the recently removed mask of the Minotaur, finally revealing a hidden identity, or the symbolic trophy of a modern Ariadne overturning the myth and defeating what once threatened her. The work deliberately leaves this interpretative crossroads open in an attempt to redraw the relationship between tradition and identity, inviting the community to confront its origins while imagining their evolution.
