This beautiful piece adorned the front wall of the Il Tempo restaurant in Degraves street for many years.

"This mural features a portrait of my Italian friend as the subject. She is posed reminiscent of Magdalena by Carlo Crivelli, an Italian Renaissance painter.

Incorporated in the design are patterns found on traditional Italian Majolica Ceramic Tiles, specifically from Deruta.

Other patterns incorporated are from the famous Italian designer and painter Vittorio Zecchin (1878-1947).

The deer to the right is a reference to Italian Illustrator Daria Petrilli.

This work is designed to celebrate and embody Italian artistic achievements and aesthetics in a modern, refreshed design."
