This new mural is the result of an exchange project with Pessac (France), the geminate city of Viana do Castelo. In 2022 an artist from Viana do Castelo made an artwork in Pessac and now Dano Masala created a mural in Viana do Castelo.
In this work Bordeaux (colour and city) symbolises twinning. The jewellery and all the elements that appear in gold represent the traditional filigree. The laurels and woman symbolises a mix between our traditions and Pessac, but the woman is also a pilgrim - symbolising the exchanges between the two cities.
The painting is on the wall of the gymnastics pavilion of a school in Darque.
