"This mural is painted on the alley side of the Churches United in Ministry building, an organization that serves the homeless and people in need of food and cold weather clothing. The mural depicts some of the history of the city along with a welcoming door. It was painted by Laurel Sanders, a Duluth Artist who works with youngsters at the Damiano Center in their Kids Café program."

Thanks Laurel Sanders for answering my questions: “Hi. I don’t have instagram. Info correct except that mural concepts and painting were largely done by folks utilizing CHUM shelter and drop in, coordinated by me. We used 25 year house paint through a grant from Valspar company. Project sponsored by Arrowhead Regional Arts Council. It was a fascinating project.”
