Cycle of Life : high-lighting the extraordinary life (and death) of Southend girl Yvonne Stagg, the first lady to ride the ‘Wall of Death’, later its main star before taking it to Margate and then becoming the ‘Queen of Dreamland’.

This is the latest of what’s becoming a bit of a ‘local hero’s’ series painted at the brilliant @southendcityjam. Huge thanks to @ekto.1, @ster.upc and the whole team for putting on such a great event and for giving me such a rad spot to paint.

This mural has been created by artist Ricky ALSO for the Southend City Jam 2024 festival. The event created in the city of Southend on Sea (UK) features more than 250 international artists with great skill with sprays and brushes.
