The mural dedicated to Pedro Zerolo in Monesterio is a work of urban art that pays tribute to one of the most emblematic activists in the fight for LGBTI rights in Spain. Located in Parque de las Moreras, this mural was inaugurated in June 2020 as part of the International LGBTI Pride Day celebrations, becoming a symbol of diversity, inclusion, and collective memory.

The piece depicts a portrait of Pedro Zerolo against a background of rainbow-colored stripes, representing the LGBTI pride flag. Alongside his image, the phrase "For a free society, for a diverse society, for an equal society" can be read, encapsulating Zerolo's legacy and his tireless defense of human rights.

The mural was created by Extremaduran urban artist Sojo, who has created other similar works in the region. The initiative was promoted by the Monesterio City Council, with the aim of raising awareness and recognizing Pedro Zerolo, as well as promoting values ​​of equality and respect in the community.

El mural dedicado a Pedro Zerolo en Monesterio es una obra de arte urbano que rinde homenaje a uno de los activistas más emblemáticos en la lucha por los derechos LGTBI en España. Ubicado en el Parque de las Moreras, este mural fue inaugurado en junio de 2020 como parte de las celebraciones del Día Internacional del Orgullo LGTBI, convirtiéndose en un símbolo de diversidad, inclusión y memoria colectiva.

La pieza muestra un retrato de Pedro Zerolo sobre un fondo de franjas con los colores del arcoíris, representando la bandera del orgullo LGTBI.
