Description

This massive mural features Gargantua, the famous giant from the 16th-century satirical novels by French author François Rabelais. Painted on a large water tower in Pierrelatte, France, the giant is depicted in traditional Renaissance attire with blue, yellow, and red-striped clothing. He is shown smiling warmly while holding a large bouquet of lavender, a nod to the surrounding Provence region. Created by the renowned muralist group CitéCréation in 2017, this monumental piece of street art transforms a functional utility structure into a vibrant cultural landmark.
