Walla Walla Water tower

Description

This sumptuously decorated water tower depicts 8 local species in a scene set at the Walla swamp. The people in the centre are taken from a photo taken on site in 1905. The large scar on the tree is from a nearby Wiradjuri indigenous site of importance and was carved in the creation of a coolamon. The goanna is also the Wiradjuri totem.
