Designed by Mingote

Son pinturas en los dinteles de las ventanas y balcones de la fachada del edificio de Duque de Osuna nº 8. Fueron realizadas a partir de cartones originales de Mingote y están fechadas en 1993.

Los dibujos representan, con el característico humor de Mingote, personajes y escenas cotidianas, incluyendo motivos musicales. La fachada está concebida casi como una sucesión de pequeñas viñetas de humor integradas en la arquitectura.

Lo interesante es que el Ayuntamiento de Madrid las incluyó en 2007 en el Catálogo de Monumentos y Elementos Urbanos, precisamente para protegerlas de posibles daños durante obras de conservación del edificio.

These are paintings on the lintels of the windows and balconies of the façade of the building at 8 Duque de Osuna Street. They were created from Mingote's original cartoons and are dated 1993.

The drawings depict, with Mingote's characteristic humor, everyday characters and scenes, including musical motifs. The façade is conceived almost as a series of small humorous vignettes integrated into the architecture.

Interestingly, the Madrid City Council included them in the Catalogue of Monuments and Urban Elements in 2007, precisely to protect them from potential damage during conservation work on the building.
