"J’aime m’inspirer des dentelles de la région où je viens peindre. L’une de mes demandes était de rencontrer quelqu’un qui pouvait me faire découvrir la culture de la dentelle du pays de Saint-Brieuc. Pour l’occasion j’ai eu la chance de rencontrer Frederick Raffray, originaire d’Yffiniac et collectionneur de costumes anciens bretons. Après plus d’une heure dans son « Musée personnel », mon choix était fait, un châle brodé pour le pays de Saint-Brieuc"
"I like to draw inspiration from the lace of the region where I come to paint. One of my requests was to meet someone who could introduce me to the lace culture of the Saint-Brieuc region. For this occasion, I had the chance to meet Frederick Raffray, originally from Yffiniac and a collector of antique Breton costumes. After more than an hour in his "Personal Museum," my choice was made: an embroidered shawl for the Saint-Brieuc region."
