PINA BAUSCH GALLERY WUPPERTAL TANZT - EDITION 2024
THE ARTIST - Tamara Alves is a Portuguese artist from Lisbon. Inspired by urban life, Tamara uses a variety of media—from painting to illustration to urban art—and is fascinated by contextual art that blends into the world and ignores conventional spaces like museums or galleries.
THE PROJECT: 'Wuppertal Tanzt' is a homage to the dance choreographer Pina Bausch in the public space of the city of Wuppertal. WUPPERTAL DANCE deals with its 15 international dance co-productions and has them individually interpreted by urban artists from the respective co-production countries in the public space of the city of Wuppertal.
WUPPERTAL TANZT are 10 murals for 10 city districts - 10 dance stories, 10 countries, 10 artists, 10 views and 10 perspectives by international street artists.
