PINA BAUSCH GALLERY WUPPERTAL TANZT - EDITION 2025

THE ARTIST - For Falk Lehmann aka Akut, the portrait, as one of the most famous and oldest subjects in art, has always been the most interesting. Photorealistic precision paintings with unmistakable roots in 90s graffiti are his trademark. With this focus, he constantly explores the interplay of different techniques, materials, tools and disciplines such as painting on a small and large scale, photography and film, analogue and digital.

THE PROJECT: 'Wuppertal Tanzt' is a homage to the dance choreographer Pina Bausch in the public space of the city of Wuppertal. WUPPERTAL DANCE deals with its 15 international dance co-productions and has them individually interpreted by urban artists from the respective co-production countries in the public space of the city of Wuppertal.

WUPPERTAL TANZT are 10 murals for 10 city districts - 10 dance stories, 10 countries, 10 artists, 10 views and 10 perspectives by international street artists.
